Lucca Comics & Games 25 (October 29–November 2, 2025), Lucca, Italy

From October 29 to November 2, 2025, the historic and vibrant city of Lucca, in the heart of Tuscany, will host the 59th edition of Lucca Comics & Games, today recognized as the largest European convention dedicated to comics, games, and pop culture, and one of the most important international events for the creative industries.
What distinguishes Lucca is its dual dimension: on one side, an event that attracts hundreds of thousands of fans; on the other, a professional marketplace where publishers, producers, distributors, and digital platforms identify new opportunities across media. For Italian and international executives, the festival represents a key meeting point to discover original IPs, assess licensing potential, and explore cross-border collaborations.

The 2025 edition will feature high-profile international guests and Netflix is set to preview the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, confirming Lucca as a launchpad for global streaming content.

Thanks to a collaboration with Panini, Lucca 2025 will also welcome for the first time in Italy Sensei Hiroshi Shiibashi, the acclaimed creator of Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan. Shiibashi will be a central figure in the manga program, participating in panels, autograph sessions, and special conversations with fans and professionals alike. His presence further strengthens Lucca’s role as a unique meeting ground between Japanese creativity and international audiences.
From the publishing world, bestselling authors Rick Riordan (Percy Jackson), Cassandra Clare, and Holly Black will headline a strong literary program. The roster also includes renowned artists such as John Romita Jr.Aleksi BriclotMarie Cardouat, and Kevin Eastman. In addition, Lucca 2025 dedicates a special focus to French creativity with the theme “French Kiss”, showcasing bande dessinée icons through exhibitions and dialogues with figures such as Éric Fouassier.

Behind the scenes, the festival is organized by Lucca Crea Srl and supported by the City of Lucca, the Region of Tuscany, and Italy’s Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with key industry associations. This institutional backing underscores the strategic role of Lucca Comics & Games in promoting Italian creativity worldwide and in fostering international cooperation.

For industry professionals, Lucca is much more than a fan convention. The presence of major international publishers, game developers, and audiovisual players positions the event as a platform for business networking and as a gateway to intellectual properties with transmedia potential. U.S. companies gain direct access to the Italian and European creative landscape, while Italian stakeholders can present their work in a global context and build strategic alliances.
