HIT WEEK, October 5-10, Los Angeles & Miami
From October 5 to 10, HIT WEEK returns to the United States for its 20th edition, with events in Los Angeles and Miami and an expanded business component this year featuring an initiative of particular relevance to the audiovisual industry. A delegation of six Italian record companies will take part in Los Angeles in the first Sync Mission dedicated to the U.S. market, with the goal of fostering new professional and commercial relationships between the creative industries of the two countries.
Active since 2009, HIT WEEK is a platform dedicated to the international promotion of Italian music and creativity, combining live events with professional activities aimed at supporting the industry’s internationalization. The 2026 edition expands this model with Sync-It, The 1st Italian Sync Mission, dedicated to sync licensing, the licensing of music for film, television series, advertising and video games.
From October 5 to 7 in Los Angeles, representatives of the Italian companies will participate in panels, B2B meetings and networking sessions with U.S. professionals from the audiovisual, advertising and gaming industries. The mission aims to create a direct channel between those who manage and represent Italian music catalogs and the professionals who select and license music for audiovisual content in the United States, opening up new opportunities for licensing and collaboration between the two markets. The goal is twofold: to increase the visibility of the Italian music industry in the United States and to build relationships between players in the two countries’ music industries that can lead to future collaborations.
Sync represents a strategic segment, particularly in light of the growing international reach of Italian music. In 2025, royalties generated abroad exceeded €32 million, up 13.9% from the previous year and 180% over six years. Los Angeles therefore gives Italian companies direct access to one of the world’s leading ecosystems for film, television, advertising and gaming, sectors in which music is not only a creative component but also an asset with significant licensing and commercial value.
HIT WEEK’s Los Angeles program concludes on October 7 with a showcase dedicated to Italian music before moving to Miami for the final stop on October 10. This year’s featured artist is La Niña, the project of Naples-born singer-songwriter and producer Carola Moccia, who will make her U.S. debut with performances in Los Angeles on October 7 and Miami on October 10. Her career also intersects with the audiovisual industry: in 2023, she appeared in the series La voce che hai dentro, produced by Lucky Red for Mediaset, while also contributing to its soundtrack.
HIT WEEK 2026 is organized with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, with ITA – Italian Trade Agency among the initiative’s partners alongside FIMI – Italian Music Industry Federation, and under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Tourism.
