Mia Market 2024, Rome, October 14-18
MIA – Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo will return to Rome from October 14 to 18, 2024, marking the tenth edition of one of the most significant events in the international audiovisual industry. Jointly organized by ANICA (Italian Association of Film, Audiovisual, and Digital Industries) and APA (Italian Audiovisual Producers Association), MIA has steadily grown in prominence since its debut in 2015, becoming a key event for professionals and companies in the sector.
The tenth edition follows the extraordinary success of the 2023 event, which saw a record attendance of 2,600 participants from 66 countries, a 10% increase in the number of countries represented compared to the previous year. More than 80 panels and events were organized, generating over 800 articles in the international and Italian press. These figures highlight MIA’s growing importance as a platform for the global audiovisual industry, reinforcing Italy’s position as a key player in this field.
Promoted by ANICA and APA, MIA stands out as an incubator for business and internationalization, with the goal of boosting exports and facilitating international co-productions. This commitment is supported by leading Italian institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the ITA-Italian Trade Agency, with the contribution of Creative Europe MEDIA, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and the Lazio Region.
The timing of MIA coincides with the Rome Film Fest, scheduled for October 16-27, 2024, creating a unique opportunity for MIA participants to explore a broader range of cultural and networking events in the Italian capital. This synergy between the two events confirms Rome as an international hub for the film and audiovisual industry, attracting a diverse audience of professionals and enthusiasts.
Over the years, MIA has strengthened its reputation as one of the leading industry events, thanks to a rich program of high-quality content and an approach that fosters the exchange of ideas and the creation of new collaboration opportunities. With its tenth edition, MIA aims to continue on this path, providing a stimulating environment for the growth of the audiovisual sector and further consolidating Italy’s role in the global context.
