Torino Film Festival (November 21–29, 2025) and Torino Film Industry (November 20–25, 2025) Turin, Italy

In November, Turin will once again become the beating heart of Italian and European cinema with the 43rd edition of the Torino Film Festival (November 21–29) and the Torino Film Industry (November 20–25). These two major events, featuring screenings, industry meetings, and audiovisual markets, reaffirm the city’s dynamic and international spirit.

Once known as “the wealthy Turin,” the city was Italy’s first capital, cradle of both the industrial and cinematic revolutions. Today it represents a symbol of Italian creativity, where history, innovation, and the art of storytelling come together. It is no coincidence that Turin is home to the National Museum of Cinema, housed inside the iconic Mole Antonelliana, one of Europe’s most important museums devoted to film heritage.

Under the artistic direction of Giulio Base, the Torino Film Festival 2025 confirms its vocation as a hub for independent and auteur cinema, continuing its commitment to artistic discovery and new cinematic languages. This year, the Festival will present round 120 films from over 40 countries.

This year’s edition will honor two icons of world cinema. The first is Vanessa Redgrave, who will present the world premiere of her new feature film, “The Estate,” a family thriller directed by her son Carlo Gabriel Nero and co-starring her husband Franco Nero. Redgrave will also receive the Stella della Mole Award for her outstanding contribution to international cinema—an accolade joining her illustrious career, crowned with an Oscar, two Golden Globes, a Tony Award, and a Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement.

Another highlight will be the presence of Juliette Binoche, who will bring to Turin her directorial debut, a documentary marking her first turn behind the camera.

Running parallel to the festival, the Torino Film Industry (TFI) will take place from November 20 to 25. The TFI serves as the professional section of the festival, dedicated to producers, emerging talents, and co-production meetings. The six-day program will feature workshops, pitching sessions, thematic panels, and networking events, focusing on international co-productions, environmental sustainability, cultural accessibility, and new on-set professions.

Among its highlights, the ShorTO Film Market will celebrate its 10th anniversary (November 24–25) with international pitch sessions for short films and XR projects, open to filmmakers and creative teams from around the world. Another key event will be the Production Days, curated by the Film Commission Torino Piemonte, devoted to co-productions, new development funds, and international independent creativity.

With its unique mix of history, innovation, and creative energy, Turin reaffirms its role as one of Italy’s key film capitals, a city where the past meets the future and every story finds its stage.
