AVP Summit 2025, Audio-Visual Producers Summit – July 21–23, 2025, Merano, Italy

The fourth edition of the Audio-Visual Producers Summit will take place this year in the beautiful setting of Merano, from July 21 to 23, 2025.

The Summit is a three-day event dedicated to the Italian and international audiovisual industry, bringing together representatives from some of the most prestigious production and distribution companies, television networks, digital platforms, and independent studios. It offers a platform for dialogue and exchange on the key challenges and opportunities facing the sector today.

The program will feature conferences, panels, and masterclasses addressing highly relevant topics, including:

  • AI in film and audiovisual content: practical applications and the legal-technical implications of integrating artificial intelligence into production processes;
  • The independent producer between market concentration and access to finance: navigating industry consolidation, unlocking growth opportunities, and exploring new financial models;
  • The creative role of the producer: leading artistic and project innovation in an evolving global landscape.

Additional sessions will explore the value of co-productions, the impact of emerging technologies, financing strategies, and public incentives. The event aims to foster a deeper understanding of current and future dynamics in the global audiovisual ecosystem while strengthening industry relationships and encouraging new international collaborations.

This year, the Kurkhaus Theater —a landmark Art Nouveau venue in the heart of Merano—will host all Summit panels and networking sessions. Surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the Dolomites, Merano offers a unique blend of Alpine heritage and Mediterranean culture. Historic landmarks such as the Princely Castle, the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, and the Puccini Theater enrich its cultural profile. South Tyrol has also served as a backdrop for several acclaimed Italian television series, including Un passo dal cielo and Brennero, confirming its growing appeal as a film and TV location.

The Summit will also feature the MAXIMO Award ceremony. On this occasion, the Award for Excellence (Excellence Award IDM Film Commission Südtirol) will be presented, honoring exceptional contributions to the audiovisual industry and celebrating creativity, leadership, and impact.

Further details on the program, speakers, and registration will be announced shortly.

The AVPSummit is a format by APA – Associazione Produttori Audiovisivi, organized with the support of MiC – Ministry of Culture, Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual, MAECI – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Trade Agency/ICE, and the Calabria Film Commission, in collaboration with Cinecittà, MPA – Motion Picture Association, and PGA – Producers Guild of America.
