The 11th edition of Filming Italy – Los Angeles will take place in Los Angeles from February 10 to 14, 2026, reaffirming the festival’s role as one of the key platforms dedicated to promoting Italian cinema and audiovisual content in the United States.

Created and directed by Tiziana Rocca, Filming Italy – Los Angeles is produced by Agnus Dei in collaboration with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Los Angeles, under the auspices of the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, with the support of leading institutions and industry partners from Italy, including the Italian Trade Agency, within a broader framework aimed at strengthening the international visibility of Italian creative industries.

Acclaimed Italian actress Anna Ferzetti has been appointed Festival Ambassador for the 2026 edition. As part of the program, the festival will host a screening of La Grazia, directed by Paolo Sorrentino, in which Ferzetti stars, scheduled for February 12 at the DGA Theater.

The opening event of the festival, hosted at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura of Los Angeles, will feature Allevi – Back to Life, a documentary dedicated to the acclaimed composer and pianist Giovanni Allevi, who will also receive the Filming Italy Los Angeles Achievement Award.

The 2026 edition will further pay a special tribute to Franco Nero, one of the most internationally recognized figures of Italian cinema, in connection with the awarding of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a milestone that highlights the enduring presence of Italian talent within the global film industry.

In addition to in-person screenings and events, a selection of festival titles will also be available to audiences across the United States through the MyMovies digital platform, allowing viewers to follow the festival remotely and further expanding the reach of Italian audiovisual content.

Commenting on the upcoming edition, Lucia Borgonzoni, Undersecretary of State at the Italian Ministry of Culture, stated:
“Now in its eleventh edition, the festival represents an important opportunity to further strengthen international attention on Italian cinema, on the works and talents that make it so distinctive and widely appreciated around the world. The recognition that will be awarded in the United States to Franco Nero is among the most prestigious expressions of esteem for an artist, and one that makes us particularly proud.”
