The 75th Emmy Awards Have A New Date: January 15th, 2024

The Creative Arts Emmys will anticipate the event a week earlier on Jan. 6th and 7th.

The 75th Emmy Awards ceremony, supposed to be in September and postponed because of the strike, now has a new date: it will be held on January 15th at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles and aired live by Fox.

The Emmys, which celebrate outstanding television shows, will be broadcast before the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which recognize actors in both film and television.

Other awards shows, such as the Golden Globe Awards and the Critics Choice Awards, are also usually held in January, although it is uncertain if the Golden Globe Awards will return to network television after their struggle in recent years.

The ceremony has been rescheduled for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, approximately four months later than originally scheduled. This date is significant as it coincides with the historical roots of the award: the first Emmys were held in January 1949.

The Creative Arts Emmys, held a week earlier on January 6th and 7th, will precede the January 15th ceremony. A condensed version of the Creative Arts Emmys will be televised on Fox on January 13th.
